Welcome to Homespun Botanical. My name is Kara, and I am the proud owner. Thank you for visiting my page — I hope you discover something truly special that speaks to you.

Homespun began in 2016 when I fell in love with the art of kokedama. Creativity has always been an integral part of who I am, and this craft became a meaningful outlet for expressing my love of design and greenery. Homespun first became known for my signature twine-wrapped kokedama, which gradually evolved into water plants and, ultimately, into what you see today — dried floral design. My connection to nature continues to grow and evolve, inspiring each new chapter of my work.

Dried flowers have long been a passion of mine. I began creating with them in 2020, and after taking a few years away to raise my beautiful boys, my other love began calling me back. Today, I am once again immersed in the art of dried florals — real flowers thoughtfully preserved to last indefinitely. I am deeply drawn to this concept: a fleeting moment in nature, carefully captured, curated and preserved in time. Their textures and colours possess a quiet, enduring beauty.
